Ellia is a graduate of Williams College, with a major in Biology and concentration in Neuroscience. 

 

With more than nine years of tutoring experience, she combines academic rigor with a compassionate, student-centered approach. In high school, she co-founded Outreach & Prep, an educational non-profit dedicated to making learning more accessible and affordable for students from diverse backgrounds. A graduate of Deerfield Academy, Ellia also mentors students through the prep school, specializing in interview preparation, personal statement development, and academic writing.​​​​

Lucian graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University with a degree in Biochemistry, where he served as a teaching assistant for Molecular Biology and Organic Chemistry.

 

He also completed coursework in pedagogy and effective teaching, and spent a semester studying how students learn across disciplines through research in the learning sciences. This experience shaped his tutoring philosophy - one grounded in evidence-based methods and a deep understanding of how students think and grow.

 

At BookLyt, Lucian’s goal is to help students build lasting confidence and genuine understanding rather than rely on memorization. In every session, he encourages curiosity, open discussion, and reflection, helping students recognize that true progress comes from thinking deeply, not just finding the right answer.

Darien is a dual-degree engineering student at Bates College and Columbia University, where he studies physics and applied mathematics. Passionate about both teaching and innovation, he has been tutoring for many years, specializing in math, science, and coding.
